Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) work in comparable ways. We use the word “cookies” for all of them.
2. Cookies and similar technologies on this website
- Strictly necessary: these are needed for basic website operation and security and for remembering your cookie choices. They are always active. Your consent choice is stored in cookies whose names begin with “cmplz_” so that we do not ask you again on every visit.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4): we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website (pages visited, device and approximate location). Google Analytics is switched off by default: its script is not loaded until you accept the statistics category in our cookie banner. If you deny, it stays blocked.
- Google Maps: the map on our Contact page is blocked until you give consent. Until then a placeholder is shown and your browser does not connect to Google for the map. If you accept, the map loads and information such as your IP address and browser details may be sent to Google.
- Security (Google reCAPTCHA v3): our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. It is used for website security, and it may set cookies and collect information about your browser and your interaction with the page. It is not gated by the banner, because the forms need it to work.
- Fonts: the fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. Your browser does not request fonts from Google.
3. Your choices
When you first visit the website, non-essential technologies (analytics and Google Maps) are disabled. The cookie banner offers “Accept” and “Deny” with equal prominence, and a “View preferences” option to choose individual categories. If you deny, only strictly necessary technologies stay active.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent affects future processing only; it does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
4. More information
Details about how we handle personal data are in our Privacy Policy. For questions, contact info@berthmarine.com.
5. Changes
We may update this policy when we change the technologies we use. The date at the top shows the latest version.
