The machinery a vessel needs to manoeuvre
Bow thrusters, the steering gear and the deck machinery decide how safely a vessel can manoeuvre and berth. Berth Marine attends onboard, finds the fault and repairs it, with the hydraulic and mechanical experience of former seafarers and marine engineers.
Tell us the vessel, the port and the symptom. We confirm what we can attend and can bring the parts identified through our IMPA code system together with the repair.

Inspection of the rudder, tiller arm, hydraulic steering gear rams, pipes and seals.

Fault finding and repair of leaking rams, pumps, valves and pipework.
Deck machinery
Overhaul and maintenance of other deck machinery.
Survey preparation
Inspection and reports prepared for class and survey attendance.
Spare parts
Parts identified by IMPA code and supplied for onboard replacement.
Good to know
Planning the work
Some rudder and steering gear work can be done afloat and some needs the vessel to be dry-docked. Send us the repair plan or the defect report and we will confirm the scope with you and your superintendent.
