About this service
Control and drive components that work as they should
Hydraulic valves control pressure, flow and direction, and hydraulic motors turn the drums and wildcats of deck machinery. A worn valve or motor shows up as loss of speed or torque, pressure that will not build, noise or overheating.
Berth Marine diagnoses these faults onboard and repairs valves and motors onboard or in our Tuzla and Kartal workshops. For the wider picture see our hydraulic systems repair.
What we do
Scope of service
Control valves
Repair of directional, pressure relief and flow control valves.
Valve blocks and manifolds
Dismantling, cleaning and inspection of valve blocks and manifolds.
Hydraulic motors
Overhaul of hydraulic motors: inspection for wear, bearings and seals.
Setting and testing
Pressure setting and function tests after repair.
Fault finding
Onboard diagnosis of loss of speed or torque, pressure faults, noise and overheating.
Spare parts
Parts identified through the IMPA system and supplied with the repair.
Good to know
Clean oil protects valves and motors
Most valve and motor wear starts with contaminated oil. After a repair we recommend checking filters and the condition of the oil, and we can advise on flushing the affected part of the system.
